RELATED: Metal Gear Solid Movie Director Pays Special Tribute To the Series' 33rd Anniversary Using the Unreal Engine, they've gone ahead and started creating a Metal Gear Solid 1 Remake, and so far, it looks awesome. Still, while an official remake may be out of the question (excluding the GameCube version released over 16 years ago), fans can create one themselves, and one fan has decided to do just that. But considering the unfavorable way Hideo Kojima and Konami split up, along with the failure that was Konami's Metal Gear Survive, it's unlikely that an official remake of Metal Gear Solid will ever happen.
If there ever were a game in need of a remake, it would be the first game in the Metal Gear Solid series, and if there ever were a time for this remake to happen, it would be now.
